View VIDEO of Bodmin & Wenford
Discover the excitement and nostalgia of steam travel with a journey back in time on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway - Cornwall's only full size railway still operated by steam locomotives. The track is 6½ miles long and runs from Bodmin Parkway through to Boscarne Junction via line’s principal station at Bodmin General. The line is steeply graded for most of its length, the ruling gradient being 1:37 to 1:44, and has many curves!
Relax in style and enjoy a leisurely 13 mile round trip through beautiful countryside, taking in the sights, sound and smells of a bygone age, as the era of a Cornish branch line in the 1950s reveals itself during the course of your journey.
Pet dogs are carried FREE on board our "standard" daytime service trains, except in the Bar & Buffet Car (Assistance Dogs excepted). All we ask, please, is that you keep them on the floor and not on the furniture and that your dog is on a short lead whilst on the platforms or the train.
