With over 15 galleries, a boatbuilding workshop, interactive exhibits and a collection that spans The National Small Boat collection, exciting temporary exhibitions, artworks, maps and charts, memorabilia and other objects. Climb to the top of the 100 foot Look Out Tower for breathtaking panoramic views over the harbour, then travel down to the Tidal Zone and go underwater. There’s plenty to explore at this family friendly museum in Falmouth!

Take a deep breath and plunge down to the dark murky depths of the ocean and discover the monsters that lurk beneath. Are there krakens with tentacles two miles long and giant sharks as big as skyscrapers?

Explore the centuries-old myths and legends, when chance sightings and odd appearances led to tall tales of deep sea creatures. Learn how, even today, these stories continue to capture imaginations, fuelled by fake news and conspiracy theories.

Last chance to see, 'Tattoo: British Art Revealed'. This exciting exhibition opened at the Museum to huge acclaim in 2017, and after touring nationally we are delighted to bring back some of the key artworks from it. Opens Saturday 16th October.

A photographic exhibition by Kevin O’Farrell of the last surviving traditional wooden boatyard in Ireland.

In this era of volume-produced fibreglass boats, Hegarty’s yard exists in a world that is fast disappearing – one where skills and traditions are passed down from one generation to the next, and beautiful hand-crafted boats are made with passion and integrity.

Memories of Falmouth is a brand new exhibition of photography and film taken of Falmouth between 1934 – 1969, providing a fascinating insight into the town during this time.

The exhibition brings together two of the Museum’s finest collections: The Weller collection – a collection of over 600 photographic negatives and the Goodyear and Black archive cine film.
