Inspiring art and breath-taking scenery meet at Tate St Ives. The iconic gallery overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, and showcases some of the best-loved British artworks of the twentieth century alongside an ever-changing programme of exhibitions embracing the best of British and International modern and contemporary art.

Discover how a small fishing town became an art capital of the world, and how St Ives became famous as a centre of abstract art after the second world war. Encounter iconic art works by celebrated figures including Barbara Hepworth, Peter Lanyon, Sandra Blow and Patrick Heron. The displays reveal the relationships between artists associated with St Ives and wider events in art history, also featuring work from the Tate Collection by Henri Matisse, Mark Rothko, Pablo Picasso, Bridget Riley and Pauline Boty. The gallery highlights the far-reaching influence of modern artists associated with St Ives and continues the legacy of Internationalism, experimentation and radicalism that distinguished their work, through an ever-changing programme of exhibitions and events.
