Eden boasts the world's largest rainforest in captivity, stunning gardens and world-class sculptures. The Eden Project does much more than offer a memorable day out in Cornwall.

Take in the sights and smells of our Mediterranean Biome, and explore our huge Outdoor Gardens.

At the Eden Project you'll discover the fascinating relationships between plants and people. You'll also find a full calendar of family events throughout the year and music festivals in the summer. As an educational charity we run transformational social and environmental projects locally and internationally.

Dogs are welcome at Eden. They must be kept on a lead at all times and are not permitted in most indoor areas, including the Biomes (with the exception of guide or assistance dogs). We have a limited number of shaded car parking spaces which are available on a first come, first served basis.

Invisible Worlds
NEW permanent exhibition opens 25 May

Welcome to Invisible Worlds: Eden’s incredible new exhibition revealing a world beyond your senses - too big, too small, too fast, too slow, too far away in space and time.

Our transformed Core building is home to Invisible Worlds, uncovering the true and extraordinary story of life on Earth. Every teaspoon of soil and drop of water is bursting with life, from zombie ants to minibeasts that can survive a vacuum.me and discover this hidden world through interactive exhibits, amazing artworks, hands-on experiments and exciting events.

Look up (and up…) at a gigantic ceramic sculpture, created in homage to one of the world’s smallest but most important organisms. Watch closely, it may have a few surprises in store...

Explore incredible interactive exhibits which will transport you from the small to the vast and through 4.5 billion years of evolution.

Plus so much more, including a dedicated exhibitions gallery, all-new café and rock garden terrace, and daily workshops, stories and tours.

Ice Skating - Tuesday 20 November 2018 to Sunday 24 February 2019

Our glittering ice rink – the only indoor rink in Cornwall – returns on 13 October 2018, until 24 February 2019. See the full ice rink timetable HERE, including details of how to book your session.

Choose a session to suit you

Please note that a valid Eden admission ticket is required for all the sessions, in addition to the ticket for the relevant session. We advise skaters to arrive at the Visitor Centre at least 30 minutes prior to their booked skating slot.

General skating sessions

Price: £7 adult (aged 16+), £6 child, £24 family (any combination of four people)
Our public skate sessions are 40 minutes long and begin on the hour.

Skating aids

Price: £4 per session
Our penguin skating aids (featured in the video on this page) are ideal for helping young skaters to gain confidence on the ice. They can be hired for any public skating session, but pre-booking online is advisable.

The penguins are 78cm tall and although there is no minimum height restriction, the user does need to be able to walk and reach the handle. The maximum height for use is 120cm (3' 11¼"). The charge covers the full 40-minute session and there are no refunds or part-refunds if the penguin is not used or is only used for part of the session. Bookings are non-refundable.

Snowman skating aids are also available for hire, which are ideal for taller children and those with accessibility needs. The snowmen are larger at 95cm tall and although there are no height restrictions, we recommend them for users taller than 120cm (3' 11¼").

Botanical Illustration - Friday 29 March 2019 to Sunday 31 March 2019

Introduction to botanical illustration

Three-day course

29-31 Mar 2019

Taught in the Mediterranean Biome at Eden Project

£220 per person (10% off for Eden Project Members)

Join botanical artists from The Eden Project Florilegium Society for a special three days at the Eden Project, where they will guide you through the techniques of graphite drawing and shading and how to turn this into a finished illustration. You may also be interested in our Botanical painting course.

What you'll learn
Botanical illustration is all about looking at plants in a traditional but exciting way. Here’s what you’ll be doing…

Introduction to botany: you will be given a half-day introduction to/refresher of the basic botany useful to the botanical illustrator, delivered by a member of the Eden Horticulture Team.

An introduction to the history of botanical illustration: how the traditional methods of watercolour, pen and ink and graphite have been used for centuries and cannot be replaced by photography alone.

Accurate drawing techniques: we’ll introduce you to accurate line-drawing and tonal shading to make your subject appear three-dimensional, as well as helping you arrange your subject on the paper.

In a nutshell, you will have three days to concentrate on drawing and tonal shading, focusing on accuracy – the key to a beautiful illustration. Whilst attention to detail is important, botanical illustration is a very relaxing and enjoyable art form.

Who it's for
The course is suitable for both beginners and improvers. There will be a maximum of 10 people in this group.

What’s included

  • Three days of expert tuition (10am – 4pm)
  • Materials*
  • Lunch and refreshments on each day
  • Entrance to the Eden Project

*We will provide drawing papers, plus tracing paper, 2H and HB pencils of professional quality, and a plastic eraser. We will have dividers and rulers to borrow on the day. A notebook may be useful.
