Set in an undulating landscape on the cliffs of Cape Cornwall and on the doorstep to the National Trust’s heritage sites, there is nowhere like it in England. You can play a round of golf, tie the knot, stay the night or simply enjoy Michelin Star cuisine in front of a spectacular backdrop of ever-changing scenery.

Golf is the heartbeat of Cape Cornwall Club and our friendly members will always give you a warm welcome.
The Club has been quoted as having ‘the most spectacular golf course scenery in Great Britain’ by Marcus Weatherburn of PlayMoreGolf, who has visited over 250 courses in the UK.
One of the strengths of the Club is a membership drawn from a broad cross section of locals born and bred, and those who have chosen to settle here.
There is always ‘golfer’s grub’ on our menu after every competition at the 19th hole, where you can come in out of the elements and enjoy our fine food, superb local real ales and warm open fire while still enjoying spectacular views.
Our bar and dining area is a modern open space, in a relaxed and casual environment, serving three meals a day, and snacks in between during high season. Equipped with an unpretentious bar, and tables looking out over the wild Cornish cliffs, we now offer a brand new menu, inspired by our new Michelin Star Chef. Our restaurant caters for everything from a relaxed breakfast or casual lunch to an indulgent dinner, all under one roof. Wine, dine and relax amidst the epic seascapes and breath-taking sunsets.
OUR TEAM AND SUPPLIERS
We are fortunate to have Masterchef Peter Gorton in charge of our culinary team. Having won numerous awards including a Michelin Star, Peter sold ‘The Horn of Plenty’ in Devon, and now consults for us.
Our team is driven by a passion for using the freshest of locally sourced, seasonal produce to create inventive, colourful and mouth-watering dishes. Our chefs source ingredients from nearby farms, selecting the freshest of local produce from locals such as Chypraze Farm and McFadden’s butcher and baker. Menus change with the seasons, reflecting the best from our small group of local trusted suppliers. We also support our local fishermen and are proud to offer the freshest catch of the day straight from their boats in Newlyn, as well as Cape Cornwall lobster and crab caught off our own cape.
Andrew Cleary met local lobster fisherman Steve Tregear sitting on a barstool in the local Rugby Club. Steve was supporting Exeter Chiefs while Andrew was supporting the team he used to play for, Saracens. Steve used to supply Cape Cornwall Club many years ago, and has now agreed to help us out once again, selling us the freshest lobsters straight from his pots to our restaurant tables one hundred yards away.
Our spacious, recently refurbished rooms offer an air of calm and seclusion. Cape Cornwall Club is classified as a club rather than a hotel because all our ensuite bedrooms are located outside the main building, but are just as comfortable as any luxury hotel. Being converted from a thick-walled stone farmhouse barn, each room is a short meander from the busy hustle and bustle of the Club’s activities so that you are assured complete tranquility, with only the sounds of the sea birds, the crashing ocean and the wafting winds to interrupt your rest.
Cape Cornwall Club offers 15 bedrooms, all refurbished in the last three years. Each room blends comfort with modern amenities for a truly easy-going ambiance. Wonderfully restful, each bedroom features soft furnishings, with space to spread out and truly relax.
All our rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, a television and free Wi-Fi. Some have baths; all have showers. All our rooms also have a detailed information pack including insights into our club facilities and helpful information on local attractions. With the highest levels of comfort and effortless technology, they are the ultimate in luxury accommodation.
Here at Cape Cornwall Club we are proud of our stylishly designed, new, heated, indoor pool, it is topped off with a stunning roof designed by a renowned architect.
With recliner chairs and sunbeds surrounding the tranquil aqua-marine water, where else better than to while away your day with a good book? If storms batter at the windows, it is warm and snug in the pool house, and the perfect place to escape from the elements. If the sun is shining, slip out through the French windows and into the tranquil courtyard where you can sunbathe in peace.
If you indulged a bit too much the previous night, perhaps allowing yourself one too many local ales, why not take advantage of our newest addition to the pool room. Our sauna is just the place to sweat out all your toxins.
We also have a huge hot tub, complete with jets, which is the ideal place to hang out with your buddies.
The gym boasts brand new state-of-the-art equipment including weights, cardiovascular machines, cross-trainers, treadmills and more.
