Mawnan Parish covers an area which includes Mawnan Smith, Durgan, Bareppa, Helford Passage and Boskensoe. A picture perfect slice of rural Cornwall we are bordered by the sea and river on one side and include the National Trust gems of Trebah & Glendurgan gardens.
You can bask on the beaches of Maenporth and Durgan, give sailing or watersports of every kind a try, or try a ramble through the numerous footpaths through the parish which can cater to all levels of fitness – with the added attractions of the Ferryboat Inn, Cornish Maid café and Red Lion Inn all on walking routes in case you feel that need for a little break!
Mawnan Smith has a thriving local community and still manages to boast a local shop, pub and café. We have a wide ranging choice of accommodation and events which we’d love to open up to passing visitors and locals alike.
