ShelterBox is a Cornish charity that responds to natural disasters and conflict, providing emergency shelter for families who've lost everything.
Our visitor centre is a ground breaking attraction in the heart of Truro where you’ll find out what it takes to respond to disasters around the world. There’s lots to do for all ages; try packing a ShelterBox, test out our aid equipment and explore our tents and shelters. A visit is the perfect solution to a rainy Cornish day.
Virtual Reality - every half term and school holiday in 2020. Strap on a VR headset and follow in the footsteps of a hurricane.
20 Years of shelter - 2020 is our 20th anniversary. We're celebrating with a photo exhibition featuring important images captured during our deployments to disaster zones. Opens Easter 2020.
Admission is free.
We are closed on Saturdays until 28th March 2020.
If you'd like to arrange a group or school visit please download our booking form through our website.
