Discover the excitement and nostalgia of steam travel with a journey back in time on  Bodmin Railway - Cornwall's only full size railway still operated by steam locomotives. The track is 6½ miles long and runs from Bodmin Parkway through to Boscarne Junction via line’s principal station at Bodmin General. The line is steeply graded for most of its length, the ruling gradient being 1:37 to 1:44, and has many curves!

Visit our 1950's station and take a look around our station shop which sells a variety of locomotive models, gifts and Bodmin Railway merchandise. Or why not visit one of our Cornish Rail Coffee Co branches, where you can pick up hot and cold refreshments (siutated at Bodmin General, Bodmin Parkway, Liskeard and Penzance Station). 

Relax in style and enjoy a leisurely 13 mile round trip through beautiful countryside, taking in the sights, sound and smells of a bygone age, as the era of a Cornish branch line reveals itself during the course of your journey.

Dogs are allowed during our "standard" daytime service trains for a small fee. All dogs must abide by our 'Paws on Floors' policy. Please note that our event trains and Christmas trains do not allow for dogs, due to busier than usual platforms.
