The Helston Railway runs train rides along a scenic 1.25 miles of restored track with stunning views using diesel or steam trains
Visit the Railway
Have a ride on our train, visit the buffet, and browse in our gift shop which also has an extensive collection of railway books and model trains. Learn about our plans for the future and the history of the railway which was closed to passengers in 1962.
We operate trains on Thursdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays between Spring & October plus extra days in school holidays and Special Events. Volunteers will also be working on Tuesdays & Thursdays as well if you would like to come along and help.

Back to the 1940s - Saturday 23 May 2026 to Monday 25 May 2026
Come and take a journey back to the 1940s, exhibitors and wartime re-enactors onsite giving demonstrations. Come in fancy dress if you want to.

Come and visit Helston Railway and see vehicles from bygone years. Refreshments will be available at both ends of our line.
