The Lost Gardens of Heligan were rediscovered almost 25 years ago, buried deep in the Cornish countryside. Today Heligan remains one of the most loved and romantic gardens in the UK, appreciated as much for their beauty and mystery, as for the ground breaking restoration project - the largest in Europe - which first brought Heligan to the publics' attention.

Today the famous 'Mud Maid' sculpture nods towards the sleeping mysteries of the garden, while more than 200 acres of The Lost Gardens are a paradise for the explorer, wildlife, plant lover and romantic. Victorian Productive Gardens and Pleasure Grounds beckon along winding paths laid out over two centuries ago. Visitors cross the sub-tropical Jungle Valley on raised boardwalks weaving through tunnels of towering bamboo, under a forest of majestic tree ferns, past giant rhubarb and banana plantations.

Heligan is a garden for all seasons, and as such there is simply no "best time of the year" to visit. Whether you plan to visit in the buzz of mid-summer, or the tranquillity of winter, you are guaranteed a unique experience.
