OUR COTTAGES

We’ve eight gorgeous and stylish cottages for you to choose from. Lift the latch on any front door and you’ll find a wonderfully inviting space. Squashy sofas, blissfully comfortable beds, a powerful shower and relaxing bathtub. You’ve fluffy white bathrobes – great for impromptu trips to the hot tub, iPod docks and free WiFi.

The kitchens have everything you need to rustle up a family feast or a speedy fry-up – think ceramic hob cookers and Dualit toasters. Many of our cottages have log fires, and all are centrally heated, so you’ll be nice and toasty when you get in from a walk or a dip in the pool.

The cottages are also designed and equipped to be as baby and toddler friendly as possible.
And we can provide you with plenty of extra kit to save you having to bring it with you.
Hopefully, we’ve thought of everything – so you don’t have to.

You can buy fishing and crab nets for your rockpool encounters in the farm shop, and you’re welcome to borrow buckets and spades from our giant indoor sandpit.  There’s even a bedtime stories box in the office so you can borrow storybooks if your mini-farmer gets bored of theirs halfway through the week!

Your little ones will love life on the farm. From waking up to feed the animals, riding ponies or pedalling mini tractors, to playing in the play park and zooming around our balance bike track (or indoor play barn if the weather lets you down!). We have a fantastic soft play room and an indoor heated pool to keep the little ones entertained.

Hopefully, we’ve thought of everything – so you don’t have to, including fluffy, white bathrobes for dashes (for the slightly older members of the family) to the stunning hot tub!

WINTER & SPRING BREAKS

We think Tredethick is a wonderful place to visit whatever the season.  And, judging by our bookings, our guests seem to agree. Springtime, when the days are growing longer and the countryside leaps into life, or winter, when the fields sparkle with frost and your breath steams in the crisp air, are filled with their own special magic.

The joys of spring
Buds bursting, birds twittering, bees buzzing… Springtime is a green light for nature and there’s a sense of growing excitement in the air.  There are new-born lambs to feed (when you see them leaping about you’ll know why it’s called spring) and bluebell-carpeted woods to explore. The weather is usually good and places are rarely busy. It’s a wonderful time to go walking or cycling – perhaps to enjoy the first picnic of the year. Play pooh sticks in the river or go crabbing in rock pools – if you’re really lucky you might spot seals out at sea.

Winter wonders
When the mercury plummets, our cottages are havens of cosiness. Many have log burners, perfect for family snuggles, and all are centrally heated. During winter, we move our lambs, goats and pigs into our cosy barn to join the ponies, guinea pigs and rabbits. There’s still animal feeding and pony riding, just as in the summer months. The surrounding countryside takes on a different, wild beauty at this time of year. The beaches are empty of people yet full of drama, with wind-whipped waves lashing the sands. Perfect for a bracing walk followed by a mug of hot chocolate in a beach café.

Christmas and New Year
Tredethick is an enchanting place to be at Christmas and New Year. Our cosy cottages (with real Christmas trees) are perfect for family get togethers or to get away from it all. Just book yourself a food delivery for when you arrive, then get ready to relax. Animal feeding and pony rides still take place (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day – though rest assured we still feed them!).
