Build a Bear at The Wonderful Bear Emporium.

We have a selection of over 20 cuddly bear friends to choose from.

To build a bear, once your important choice of bear has been made, it is time to choose a wishing star and place it inside your new bear – not forgetting to make that big wish as your bear is born.

Help us to stuff your new friend - you can choose how soft or firm your bear will be, and operate the foot pedal to add stuffing from our machine.

Next try to think of a name for your bear – we will produce a ‘birth certificate’ showing the owner’s name, the bear’s name, and the place and date of birth.

We also have ‘bear dressing rooms’, so if you would like to dress and accessorise your new teddy bear this is your opportunity to choose from our extensive selection of bear clothes, outfits, shoes, sunglasses, hats... why not try on a few different selections to see what suits your bear best?

Take your dream bear home and remember to look after it as well as you can. Many people bring their bears back to buy outfits, or you can do this at our online store.

Children's Parties

At the Wonderful Bear Emporium we are proud to offer fun children’s parties. Children get to take part in fun activities such as bear hunts, pass the parcel, and learn dance moves with Chuckles, our friendly mascot bear. They also get to make their own bear, and we have mini bear-making aprons especially for this.

Food and drinks are included in the price, and food is supplied by The Balancing Eel nearby.

The menu choices are:

• Cod and Chips
• Chicken Nuggets and Chips
• Fish Fingers and Chips
• Sausage and Chips
• Cheese and Onion Fritter and Chips (vegetarian)
• Veggie Burger (no bun) and Chips (vegetarian)

Minimum party size is 8 children and we offer two packages.

• The standard package is priced at £16.99 and includes a bear worth £14.50 and food and drink worth £3.99.
• The deluxe package includes everything in the standard package but also any outfit from our standard or premium outfit range (so up to the retail value of £9.99), and is priced at £24.99

Our party room is on the first floor, so all children and accompanying adults need to be able to climb up a flight of stairs. We are able to hold the party on the ground floor if stairs are a problem, so please let us know if this would be better.

Online party booking is available  with a £20 deposit or you can call us on 01736 799640 – just book and then just remember to supply your birthday cake and candles on the day.
