And Everything And Nothing Has Changed - Wheal Martyn Clay Works
An exhibition showcasing work by artist Robin James Sullivan. And Everything And Nothing Has Changed (2021) was an ambitious public arts and heritage project by Robin James Sullivan that explored how landscapes hold memory and change. Developed across Cornwall’s China Clay Country, the project brought together over 450 participants through workshops, conversations, field trips and creative events.
The exhibition of the same name explores landscape, memory, industry and community through sculpture, performance and fieldwork. Its centrepiece is the spectacular two-metre-tall ceramic standing stone, collaboratively designed and built by local communities before being fired in a purpose-built kiln beneath the iconic Sky Tip on the edge of St Austell, just a couple miles from Wheal Martyn.

Lemonaires Cornish Music Night - Wheal Martyn Clay Works
We are The Lemonaires - Men of Cornwall and we are based in Mylor Bridge. We sing of Cornwall, fishing, farming and mining with the vigour you would expect from proud Celtic men.
As well as an opportunity to experience some fantastic Cornish music, this event will be supporting the charitable work of Wheal Martyn Trust (Charity no. 1001838), with money raised from ticket sales contributing to our fundraising.
To balance our fundraising needs with the reality of the current cost of living challenge our customers face, we have made this a pay what you can event. All tickets are equal, simply pick the price you wish to pay (between £6 and £15). Age 12 and under free.

Falmouth is one of the only places in the world where native oysters are still harvested by sail and oar. Generations of local oystermen have preserved this time-honoured practice, passing down the skills required to work the tides and winds of the Fal. The method is low-impact, sustainable and environmentally friendly, helping to protect the delicate ecology of the riverbed and the oyster stocks that depend on it.
The festival is free to attend and will once again take place on Events Square in Falmouth. Across the four days, visitors can enjoy free live music, chef demonstrations, talks, market stalls, children’s arts and crafts activities, and the ever-popular Oyster Shucking Competition and Working Boat Race.
In the evenings, ticketed live music sessions bring a further dimension to the celebrations, while the festival draws to a close on Sunday afternoon with the free closing ceremony, featuring the Oggymen.
Kicking off the evening entertainment, Cornwall’s own Falmouth Soul Sensation return for a free-to-attend party on Thursday night. Friday welcomes Mad Dog McRea and their infectious blend of folk rock, gypsy jazz and bluegrass, fresh off the release of a new album. And Saturday sees blues harmonica virtuoso Giles Robson take to the stage with support from Soul/Roots musician Dave Keller. The festival closes in traditional style on Sunday afternoon with the free Closing Ceremony from Falmouth favourites The Oggymen. Tickets for Friday and Saturday are now on sale here.

We will be welcoming lots of our local Cornish growers, producers, bakers and makers through the doors. This event follows our first ever market in May which was a brilliant success.We hope that this is a chance for the community to come together and learn more about the food that is grown and produced in West Cornwall. Please do come along and pick up some locally grown produce, and find out more about what is being grown and made here on your doorstep.

A free family friendly shanty festival 15 - 18 October 2026.
Join us on our gala fundraising night to hear top Brittany group Nordet and Mevagissey’s own The Stunsl’s Shanty Group and Cornwalls leading funny man Johnny Cowling on Thursday 15 October. Tickets on our website.Our Family friendly, free festival, organised by and for the community to enjoy and also to raise money for the community projects in the village.
Our festival starts on Friday 16 October – Sunday 18 October, when Mevagissey and Pentewan become alive with singing and harmonies. Over 90 groups, 500 singers will perform over 380 free concerts in 20 venues across Mevagissey and Pentewan. This year we are also running workshops and Cornish history talks alongside the shanties.
Our main sponsor is Keltek Brewery who are donating all the beer and cider so every penny goes back to the festival and towards community projects that make a positive difference to every one.
Go Bus are kindly putting on a free shuttle bus between Pentewan and Mevagissey on Friday evening and all day Saturday.
We have been supported this year by FEAST on behalf of Creative Kernow, with funding from Arts Council England and Cornwall County Council. Their support will help us to provide workshops to locals schools to encourage their participation in our festival.
We are also indebted to all our local businesses who have supported us by sponsoring or being a venue. We also thank our Mevagissey community who host and volunteer at the festival to make it family friendly and accessible to all.

Individual £29The coastal roads between Bude and Boscastle climb and drop over some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the UK. As there’s no way for these roads to avoid the valleys and summits they simply go straight up and over creating one climb after another. Steep and sustained with gradients of up to 30% cycling these roads is a challenge to any cyclist. And yet if you live in North Cornwall this has always been the place to test yourself.
For years we’ve wanted to create a cycling event between Bude and Boscastle but with the descents being so steep and narrow we’ve backed away. The solution, obvious when we thought of it, is to just time the uphill stages so creating a series of one-after-another Hill Climbs.
The route starts in Bude and follows the coastal road to Widemouth Bay. Follow the road along to the Widemouth Manor and on the summit corner take a sharp right onto the narrow coastal road through Wanson and onto Millook with its 30% gradients. Continue until you meet and take the road down to Crackington Haven. Past the Pubs and cafes at the bottom and just as you start up the other side of Crackington you’ll need to take a sudden narrow turn off on your right to High Cliff. This roller coaster road will bring you up to the Boscastle road which you’ll need to cycle down before turning at the bottom and returning to Bude by just about the same route (the only exception being avoiding the High Cliff road on the way back to Crackington Haven).
The aim is to cycle the route continuously, with no deviations, only stopping for the timekeepers when required and to be the fastest accumulated hill climber over the whole course.

Terrye Teverson is a contemporary Cornish fine artist, digital printmaker and sculptor whose multidisciplinary practice bridges historical narrative and contemporary critique. This exhibition investigates the arsenic trade in Cornwall, blending traditional and contemporary mediums to create immersive experiences that challenge viewers to confront the desire for ‘beautiful’ objects and contemplate the means of production.
