And Everything And Nothing Has Changed - Wheal Martyn Clay Works
An exhibition showcasing work by artist Robin James Sullivan. And Everything And Nothing Has Changed (2021) was an ambitious public arts and heritage project by Robin James Sullivan that explored how landscapes hold memory and change. Developed across Cornwall’s China Clay Country, the project brought together over 450 participants through workshops, conversations, field trips and creative events.
The exhibition of the same name explores landscape, memory, industry and community through sculpture, performance and fieldwork. Its centrepiece is the spectacular two-metre-tall ceramic standing stone, collaboratively designed and built by local communities before being fired in a purpose-built kiln beneath the iconic Sky Tip on the edge of St Austell, just a couple miles from Wheal Martyn.

With appearances from our Class 47, Class 08, Class 121, our Class 37 will be making an appearance, subject to further successful running.
Get ready for our Autumn Diesel Gala, 25th–27th September 2026 !Featuring guest locomotive Class 31; 31210, joining us courtesy of Hanson & Hall.
We’re delighted to announce that our second guest locomotive for our Diesel Gala will be 33012/D6515 ‘Lt Jenny Lewis RN’, courtesy of the 71A Group.
Our home fleet will also be out in action, which includes the our Class 47; 47306 ‘The Sapper’, Class 08; 08444, Class 121 Bubble Car; 121020 and subject to maintenance we will aim to run our Class 37; 37142.
Join us as a variety of our heritage diesel locomotives and units take to the tracks, giving enthusiasts and families the chance to enjoy an action-packed day along our historic Cornish branch line. With an intensive timetable and the rare opportunity to see Platform 2 at Bodmin General in regular use, there’ll be plenty happening throughout the gala.
Explore the railway, enjoy the sights and sounds of classic diesel traction and make the most of unlimited travel with your ticket. There’ll also be a BBQ running throughout the three-day event, alongside our café, gift shop and museum at Bodmin General.

Exiles - Wheal Martyn Clay Works
Exiles is a magical blend of music and spoken word which is set in the 1960s and draws on extraordinary tales and characters from the Cable & Wireless archive. It is the fourth collaboration between musicians Bagas Degol and writer Annamaria Murphy and was created through a project with PK Porthcurno, Museum of Global Communications.
Beginning with the infamous Porthcurno car rally, the story journeys through the winding lanes of West Cornwall before travelling far beyond, following the lives and adventures of engineers working across the globe.
Through rich storytelling and evocative sound, Exiles brings to life the experiences of those who helped build and maintain the networks that connected the world. Audiences are transported to distant and often exotic locations, encountering the people, cultures and challenges faced along the way.
This imaginative and atmospheric production celebrates Cornwall’s unique place at the heart of global communications, weaving together local history with international stories.

We’re delighted to announce that our second guest locomotive for our Diesel Gala will be 33012/D6515 ‘Lt Jenny Lewis RN’, courtesy of the 71A Group.
Our home fleet will also be out in action, which includes the our Class 47; 47306 ‘The Sapper’, Class 08; 08444, Class 121 Bubble Car; 121020 and subject to maintenance we will aim to run our Class 37; 37142.
Join us as a variety of our heritage diesel locomotives and units take to the tracks, giving enthusiasts and families the chance to enjoy an action-packed day along our historic Cornish branch line. With an intensive timetable and the rare opportunity to see Platform 2 at Bodmin General in regular use, there’ll be plenty happening throughout the gala.

And Everything And Nothing Has Changed (2021) was an ambitious public arts and heritage project by Robin James Sullivan that explored how landscapes hold memory and change. Developed across Cornwall’s China Clay Country, the project brought together over 450 participants through workshops, conversations, field trips and creative events.
The exhibition of the same name explores landscape, memory, industry and community through sculpture, performance and fieldwork. Its centrepiece is the spectacular two-metre-tall ceramic standing stone, collaboratively designed and built by local communities before being fired in a purpose-built kiln beneath the iconic Sky Tip on the edge of St Austell, just a couple miles from Wheal Martyn.

Cornwall Beaver Project Guided Walk - Individuals and families - Cornwall Wildlife Trust
Take a walk around our unique reserve to see what the beavers have been building, including their dams and the first lodge in Cornwall in over 400 years!
Join us for a guided walk around the reserve and then relax in this tranquil place at dusk to (hopefully) see and hear the beavers in action.
During the two hour visit, we’ll show you how busy the beavers have been and teach you about their fantastic way of life as ecosystem engineers! Before the walk around the enclosure, there will be a talk to learn more about beavers. The walks will take place in the evening to ensure that you get the best opportunity to see the beavers. The animals are becoming more secretive so a sighting isn’t guaranteed.

Truro Antiques and Collectibles Market - Truro City
The popular Truro Antiques and Collectables Market will be returning to the city centre in an exciting new location, outside the front of Truro Cathedral at High Cross.
Organised by Truro BID, who previously delivered the city’s Antiques Market until 2023, the one-day event will take place from 9.30am to 4pm.
Visitors and residents will be able to browse and buy a wide range of distinctive, pre-loved antiques and collectable items outside the city’s historic cathedral.
