The Lobster Lollop - The National Lobster Hatchery
The Lobster Lollop returns on saturday the 14th November 2026!
The Lobster Lollop is a no pressure trail run in support of the National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow! Take part in a timed run out & back along the famous Camel Trail, starting & finishing in Padstow! 2.5k, 5k, 10k & 10 Mile distances to choose from, with Canicross categories in the 5k, 10k & 10 mile
No cut off times, every runner will receive a medal and we will have awards for the top finishers in each distance! Show your medal to the hatchery on race weekend to gain free access to the Lobster Hatchery!

• What it is: A revival of traditional Cornish midwinter and winter solstice customs, featuring guise dancing, mummers plays, and fire ceremonies.The afternoon and evening features a sequence of traditional ceremonies and parades, beginning with the Sundowner Parade at 4:21 PM and traditional dancing in Greenmarket at 4:45 PM. Festivities continue with the Summoning of the Sun at 5:30 PM, the Progress of the Sun parade at 6:00 PM, and the Burning of the Sun at 6:45 PM. The evening concludes with the traditional Yule log (Mock) procession down Chapel Street between 9:15 and 9:30 PM.

Christmas Light Switch-On - Camborne
Start your festive celebrations with Camborne’s Christmas Lights Switch-On.
Traditional features like the twenty-five foot real Cornish Fir tree in the town’s square and swathes of street Christmas light displays will help the community with their festive countdown! Live entertainment and music will be on the stage in Commercial Square from 1pm onwards, before the lights are switched on at 5pm. And Father Christmas will also be joining us in town – visit him for FREE to tell him your Christmas wishes.
