    The 28th May is the 20th birthday of the huge indoor JungleBarn play centre, fabulous fun whatever the weather! With giant slides, suspended rope bridge, fireman’s pole, spinning discs, multi-level soft play with lots of climbing and sliding, challenging soft play and a toddlers’ zone. Great fun for all ages.

    Daily events (weather permitting):
    •    Otter Feeding Time: 10:30am and 4:30pm- Watch the adorable otter family, including mum Pippin and dad Katarni, along with their teenage pups, during feeding times.
    •    Penguin Feeding Time: 11:00am and 4pm – Listen to the knowledgeable Keepers as they share insights about penguins and tell you about the characters in the colony. Watch these endearing birds being fed in their pool located in the Walled Garden.
    •    The fantastic Eagles of Paradise Display is at 11:30am. Watch birds of prey like Dakota the Bald Eagle and Tangee the vulture fly free near the Fun Farm, plus a amazing up-close photo opportunity at the end of the display.
    •    Purchase some nectar at the 2pm Lorikeet Feeding Experience and join in the fun feeding these lively, mischievous, colourful parrots in the walk-through Rainbow Aviary. Have your camera ready!
    •    At 3pm enjoy the fascinating ‘Free Flying Bird Show’ including Amazon parrots, choughs and others, flying free on the stage and across the picnic lawn.
    •    The impressive Scarlet Macaw Spectacle is at the end of the 3pm show. You will be moved by the sight of these stunningly beautiful parrots flying out of their aviary and soaring into the sky. Another great photo opportunity.
    •    Have a cockatoo fly to your hand!
    A unique and fun way for the staff and birds to fundraise for Paradise Park’s conservation projects. You have the opportunity to go up on the main stage at the end of the 3pm ‘Free Flying Bird Show’ to give a £1 or £2 donation. Roseate Cockatoos Billy, Rizzo or Rio will be ready to fly to your hand, collect the coin, fly back to the presenter and place it into the collection tin. Great fun and a very popular experience, all for a good cause.
    •    Animal lovers will adore the Fun Farm. You can purchase a small bag of food for 65p on entry (limited supply) to feed the adorable little Pygmy goats and Ouessant sheep. This interactive experience allows visitors to get up close and personal with these charming animals, making it a memorable part of your visit. And don’t miss the guinea pigs in Pets Corner.
    •    Plus, ‘Paradise Island’ outdoor playground with climbing towers, a slide into the ‘river’, and the chance to ride a rocking dolphin.
    •    On good weather days Zebedee, the Jungle Express Train will be out for a spin! Board the train near the picnic lawn and set off through the gardens of Glanmor House on a small route of two circuits around the house grounds (not the whole Park). Includes the top section of Parrot Jungle, a trip through a tunnel with Twinkly lights leading to behind the scenes at the back of the house. There is a small extra charge, and train times can be checked upon arrival.
    •    Otter Pool Cafe. A range of light lunches, cakes and cream teas are available in the Otter Pool Café with plenty of picnic tables and benches throughout the Park. Plus, a snack bar inside the JungleBarn Play Centre with great tasting hot dogs and cheeseburgers, or snack on hot crunchy crisps and treat yourself to a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, plus free WIFI.

    A leader in conservation and home to Operation Chough and the World Parrot Trust. A wonderful and worthwhile day out.

    Described as “a treat to the auditory senses” Helm & the ASB are from Cornwall. Their sound is a lush blanket of harmonies, draped over a twisting landscape of stories. The songs tell tales of Helm's life, travels and of himself. Mix in some sweet country slide guitar and a group of fine musicians and the end result is a collection of heartfelt songs that take you on a journey through the eyes of the author.  In the short space of time that they have been on the road, they have amassed a good loyal following. The forthcoming album 'Superheroes' is currently in the final recording stages and will hopefully be released later this year.

    Ceramic Teddy Painting - Wheal Martyn Clay Works

    Want to do something creative with the kids? We are holding a paint your own teddy workshop. You will be able to choose from a selection of teddies to paint. You will be using ceramic paints which we will apply a clear glaze over and fire it in the kiln ready for you to come back to collect.

    Times: 11.00am to 4.00pm. This is a drop in session, so no need to pre-book.

    Level: Beginners, from age 4 welcome.  Any child under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied at all times by an adult.

    Wake up the Waterwheel - Wheal Martyn Clay Works

    Join our site team behind the scenes before we open to the general public to get the Scheduled Ancient Monument ready for the day. Help with diverting water, sluices and priming of the slurry pump to wake our water wheels and learn about Victorian engineering and the china clay industry too. Enjoy the peace of our site early in the morning, look out for wildlife before enjoying a crib time breakfast bap in our cafe. Feel free to explore the museum and site at your leisure for the rest of the day.

    Dogs on leads welcome.

    Falmouth has a proud and long history as a first safe port of call for deepwater sailing ships. It was here that sailors filled our waterside alehouses with their songs, and it is here that those shanties and stories are kept alive today.

    Falmouth Classics features three days of enjoyable racing and a spectacular Parade of Classic Boats and the Small Classic Boat Parade. Since it began, in 1987, Falmouth Classics has steadily grown to be one of the largest Classic sailing events in the UK.

    Falmouth is recognised as having some of the best sailing waters in the world in the Carrick Roads and Falmouth Bay. There are also many vantage points for spectators to view the events.

    Run by volunteers, This is a free event with a fab parade and loads of activities for families, the fun begins at 3.30pm

  • Wheal Martyn Clay Works

    Slab Building Boxes Workshop - Wheal Martyn Clay Works

    In this workshop you will be shown how to roll out slabs of clay and build a small decorative box. You will be guided through the process step by step, and then shown various techniques to decorate your box and apply coloured slips. Once dry, which usually takes 7 to 10 days, your pot will go off to be fired in our electric kiln. A clear glaze will then be applied and it will be fired again ready for you to come back in to collect. No experience necessary, just a willingness to try.

    Equipment & materials: Clay, coloured slips and tools are provided. We recommend that you bring an apron along.

    You will produce: A small slab built box which will be fired twice in our electric kiln.

    Level: Beginners, from age 13 welcome.  Any child under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied at all times by an adult.

    Workshop duration: 4 hours (end time may vary slightly)
